As confirmation of the previous article as referenced Lions    Club International in Collaboration with Pharco donated nine cartoons of medicines published Monday 4 January 2021, the Embassy is pleased to inform you about the arrival of the said consignment in Freetown. 

In recent years, Egypt has been getting increasingly involved in Sierra Leone health system. They have been playing significant role in delivering medical aid to Sierra Leone since 2020.. 

The donation of Nine Boxes of assorted drugs by a local pharmaceutical industry PHARCO in conjunction with LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL to the Government of Sierra Leone through the Embassy in Egypt worth thousand dollars is the latest in that drive. It aims at bolstering the health care capabilities of Sierra Leone. 

The said drugs arrived in Sierra Leone Friday 12 February 2021 on board Royal Air Maroc. Authorities from both Ministries of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Ministry of Health and Sanitation were expected to be on the receiving end for clearance at the Freetown National Airport. Lions Club and Parco’s support is appreciated warmly by the Sierra Leone Embassy in Egypt and looks forward to more coordination.
