VP JALLOH SPEAKS TOUGH ON RESULT-BASED M&E SYSTEM 

The Hon. Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has today Friday 12th March 2021 spoke tough on how result-based monitoring and evaluation is essential in enhancing public service delivery in Sierra Leone.

Giving his keynote address in a “High-Level Dialogue on Government-Wide Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation System” held at De Wizard Complex Hall in Bo City, he seized the importance of Enhancing Public Service Delivery.

Meanwhile; he also praised the dialogue as an opportunity to underline the overwhelming importance of results–based M&E and how it impact policies and programmes.

VP Juldeh Jalloh however reiterated that the key to an effective delivery system is to build performance feedback systems that will direct the choice of policies made in service delivery. He further said that results-based M & E explains the rationale behind the establishment of National Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate (NAMED) to coordinate government-wide M & E System through results tracking and data management.

VP Juldeh Jalloh also spoke how results-based M & E is essentially key to monitoring the outcome of the threshold of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) programme on water, energy, and health sectors and reiterated President Bio’s commitment to transform NAMED as an institutional outfit in a bid to carry out its mandate effectively and efficiently.
