The people’s Chief Minister, Hon JJ Saffa today visited 10 Ataya bases in Kenema city in what he described as social binding and COVID sensitization. Speaking to   hundreds of youths at the various Ataya bases, Chief Minister JJ Saffa cautioned the youths to obey the new COVID restrictions and keep safe. Chief Minister Saffa urged the Youths to practice a healthy social life at their Ataya bases. He also used to occasion to assure the youths of President Bio’s commitment to address youth issues while also asking them to make use of the many opportunities made available to them through the Youth Ministry.

Hon JJ Saffa  told the Youths that as a responsible government, they are duty bound to keep in touch with the youths way ahead of elections. We should not only come to you when it’s elections time but should rather be in constant touch with or without politics, he noted.

Responding on behalf of all chairmen and the entire membership of the various Ataya bases, Chairman Kabbah of the House of pain commended the Chief Minister for his unprecedented political touch with the youths. The chairman on behalf of all youths of the township extended their sincere appreciation to His Excellency President Bio through the Chief Minister for the  numerous support to the Youths of Kenema. We have seen the many interventions of your government towards youth empowerment and we will make adequate use of it to help capacitate our members, he concluded.

Other speakers at the various meetings included  the Political Adviser to the President Amb Dr. Kapuwa, Hon Luseni Kallon, Deputy Minister of Youths and the Regional Youth Coordinator East,  Mr. Mohamed Sesay
