Sama Gamanga was appointed recently on the background of the demise of the seven directors suspended by government last year.
Before coming to the SLMA, Gamanga was Board Secretary at SLRSA – this is a man who conspired against Dr. Sarah Bendu and set her up for sacking.
How he got appointed at SLMA no one knows but until his arrival the current ED has done all the ground work and made proposals for everything he came and now enjoying at SLMA
Before at SLMA, former Deputy Executive Directors (DEDs) were treated by the likes of Alhaji Wuror Jalloh, Dr. Sarah Bendu and Ken Sondia as nothing. Nobody even knew their deputies were.
Massaquoi on the other hand with his liberal mind-set opened up to Gamanga and made him chairman of the Procurement Committee, chairman of the Discipline Committee, chairman of the Management Committee and also engaged him in all aspects of the running of the Administration.
Unlike Massaquoi, Gamanga is no seasoned Administrator and does not have any background in management in addition to not been a peoples person and lacks the aura of leadership and sharp attraction like Massaquoi.
However, like all other people, Gamanga has quickly jumped to the bandwagon of enemies to gang up against Massaquoi- as soon as he realised his boss is away to attend to the malicious allegations against him by the Board Chairman.
In less than a month, Gamaga has signed a hefty contract with a consultant without going through management or the Board nor the ministry of transport approval. He has travelled over seven times in just a month
The contract is said to have been arranged secretly with few of his henchmen.
When Massaquoi, who now faces allegations, wanted to recommend the services of consultants, he went through management, the Board, the Ministry and external stakeholders to seek approval. Yet he is in court today for all the good works done.
Since his appointment, Massaquoi has not travelled to engage staff nationwide just to save the Administration’s money.
Now to see who Gamaga is – he has organized local travel to the tune of Le250 million and hosted events to the tune of Le500 million without any board or management approval. Such is the scale of envy these people have as Massaquoi never gave them such opportunities to mismanage the Administration’s funds.
When the Massaquoi issue started, Gamaga was carefully warned by the Minister not to change it or do anything in the absence of Massaquoi as he the Minister is planning a number of reforms at the Administration.
Has Gamanga refused to listen to his Minster- what made him think he can be an insurgent to his supervisor Minister?
The pudgier is clear that since Gamanga started holding secret meetings with the Board Chairman, and two Directors, you know that these crooks are doomed to lure Gamanga who now firmly believes he can take the seat of ED after Massaquoi leaves. If ever..
SLMA had started regaining its lost glory under Massaquoi but hey! For the past few weeks Massaquoi has been away, it’s like nothing ever happened. The guys have travelled and spent humongous amounts of money trying to destroy the savings Massaquoi left.
What a sad situation that in few weeks SLMA and all its achievements are nearly becoming obsolete.
What a shame that Gamanga has undermined his boss and Minister to claim accolade for everything Massaquoi has done and quickly signing illegal consultants without any approvals, must especially from his supervising Ministry.
We are hoping that Hon. Kabeneh Kallon, the Minister of Transport and Aviation will quickly look into this to address these illegal and fake travel engagements by Gamanga and his team.
Gamanga was recently awarded an advertising contract to Desmond Bainya for around Le89 million sources claimed. However, the deal was that Desmond Benya was to compensate Gamanga around 30 million which he failed to do but instead handed the money to Sulaiman Musa. Sulaiman Musa quickly syphoned the money and the matter has now been taken to the CID.
Such is the scale at which Gamanga is quickly trying to convert money in the absence of Massaquoi.

If Massaquoi does not return soon, President Bio would have wasted his time to send the man who had rebranded the most troubled Administration and boosted staff morale just for another criminal of a so called pastor to go and mess up everything and bring the Administration into disrepute.
We – civil society demands that the Ministry swiftly looks into the contract Gamanga has awarded the financiers of his six weeks acting role at the SLMA.
