Water Sanitation and Hygiene Network (WASHNet), Health Alert and Budget Advocacy Network (BAN) combined with support from the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) has commenced a two day training for civil society organizations on Resource Mobilization at the Civil Society Training College Tower Hill Freetown Friday 15th July 2022.

DAY ONE

An overview of this  training was done by Musa Ansumana Soko executive Director of WASH- Net who explained the purpose and impact of this whole important workshop.

This was followed by a presentation on civil society organizations in the context of Public Financial Management in Sierra Leone according to the facilitator of this session Victor Turay, there are four key component of Public Financial Management which are; budget formulation, budget execution, accounting and reporting, and external security and audit.

After this presentation, us the participants were grouped into three groups to map out major issues of resource mobilization as well to identify limitations or barriers in resource mobilization drives with presentations afterwards.

The last session was co- facilitated by Ansumana Soko and Victor Lansana Koroma executive director Health Alert by sharing practical and concrete perspectives and examples on how to make stronger partnership and what make partners to want to support our work.
