The International Institute of Productivity and Public Management in the United Kingdom has recommended the granting of a Honorary Fellowship Award of the International Professional Managers Association to the Director General of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of Sierra Leone, Mr. Ansu Tucker in recognition of his selfless dedication and contribution over the years in the development of the civil service of Sierra Leone.
The International Professional Managers Association is concerned with the development of competent and professional managers serving in the public and private sectors of the economy as it is crucial for all managers and supervisors to transform their organisation to deal with the dynamic challenges we face today. The association is with the notion that managers at all levels need to have the skills and the mindset to drive their organisation to achieve the outcomes that can benefit their organizations and societies.
The association intends to introduce an annual award to recognize the contributions of managers in the public and private sectors to improve the performance of their organizations in Sierra Leone. It is also planning to host an international colloquium on the topic “Moving Sierra Leone into a Middle Income Economy–Approaches and Strategies”
