High Court judge, Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher on 22nd August 2022, gave 72 hours ultimatum to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lead prosecutor, C.P. Masimbo to produce other witnesses to expedite the investigation into alleged misappropriation of public funds meant for the refurbishment of the Sierra Leone Permanent Mission Chancery Building in New York.

The matter allegedly involves Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, former presidential aspirant for the main opposition All Peoples Congress party and five others.  Hon. Justice Fisher gave the ultimatum during Monday’s court hearing after the ACC prosecution witness marked as PW Idrissa Tejan Kargbo concluded his testimony following his cross-examination by Pa Momoh Fofanah and Frank Bai Kargbo defense counsels for the accused persons.

The Hon. Judge said he has given the ACC prosecution team a long period to bring in their witnesses that are supposed to testify in court in relation to the matter and urged the ACC Prosecutor to speed up with their witnesses to testify as there is not much time left.
