Leone Stars Players and Technical Team have expressed their appreciation to President Julius Maada Bio (JMB) after receiving Le100m and a plot of land each given to them by President H.E JMB and the government for qualifying Leone Stars to the Afcon Tournament January 2022 in Cameroon for the first time in 25 years. The players and some of the Technical Team Members spoke to this writer after their training session on Thursday 15th July 2021 at the Football Academy in Kingtom.
“Our hearts are filled with joy, we are very grateful and thankful to our President H.E JMB for what he has done for us by instilling dignity and respect into our daily lifestyle in all aspects. Before then, things were very difficult for us as players playing for our National Team, For now to God be the glory great things he has done for us. For this we will always pray for our President and his Government to succeed in developing this Nation in all aspect. May God Almighty continue to bless and guide the President from the hands of wicked people so that he will continue to do more good things for us. We want to assure him that we will do all our best to satisfy him, our Government and the Nation during the Afcon Tournament come 2022 in Cameroon”, some players asserted.

Some of the Technical Team Members said that “words cannot express our feelings, we are lost of words. Our hearts are filled with joy, this is the first time in our lives to received such huge financial support since we started our coaching carriers. We now have dignity and respect in our job, people within the Football family now respect us, our status has changed from poverty to rich. We will never let our President, the Government and the Nation down. With God on our side, we will make the difference in Cameroon by the grace of God Almighty.”
They also expressed special thanks to the Minister of Sports Hon.Ibrahim Nyelenkeh, his deputy Hon.Lawrence Mbayo, Executive Director of NSA Dr.Kenneth Brima, his deputy Abdul Rahman Swarray, Newly elected SLFA President Thamos Daddy Brima, VP(1) Harold Nat Johnson,(VP2) Badara Tarawaley, Parliamentary Oversight Sports Committee Chairman Hon.Alusine Alu Conteh and team, Ambassador of Sports Charlie Bio jr.,Stadium Manager Paul Dambulay, and Babadi Kamara chairman Bo Rangers Fc for working along side with the President for them to achieve this successful story that has changed their lifestyle. They pray for unity and togetherness to prevail among them as one United family in Sports, for the good of the Nation. They give God the glory because everyone have received their Le100m and plot of land.
