In a bid to enhance best road safety practice among drivers, the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority has on Tuesday 29th June 2021 conducted a refresher training for drivers of the UNDP at the Authority’s Headquarters Kissy Road in Freetown.
The training catered for 70 UNDP Drivers and was geared towards ensuring the level of awareness on road accident prevention among drivers and making sure the road becomes a safer place for everyone.
Giving an overview of the training, the Deputy Executive Director Mr. James Baggie Bio admonished the drivers to take the training very seriously as it is very essential not only for them as drivers but for the nation as a whole.
The Deputy Executive Director said the Authority is Capacitated with qualified trainers who will ensure the drivers are well equipped before the training ends.
Speaking on behalf of the UNDP, the UNDSS Security Advisor Mr. Wame Waganivavalagi said, they are delighted to be a part of the refreshers training program organised by the Authority as this training will be an added advantage to the drivers. They count themselves worthy for being a part of the training and they are sure of giving their best and pay attention to what they will be told.
