He assured Ambassador Fahnbulleh of Sierra Leone’s readiness to share its experience and extend every possible support to Liberia in pursuit of its diplomatic objectives.
The Liberian Ambassador also informed his host of preparations for Liberia’s forthcoming Independence Day celebrations, which are commemorated annually on 26 July. He disclosed that this year’s diplomatic activities in Cairo are expected to be held on 24 or 25 July 2026 and extended an invitation to the Mano River Union diplomatic community to participate in a friendly football match organised as part of the celebrations. Ambassador Fahnbulleh further requested Ambassador Silla’s continued guidance and support as he settled into his diplomatic assignment in Egypt.
In his response, Ambassador Sadiq Silla welcomed the visit and reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s unwavering commitment to promoting regional solidarity, good neighbourliness and stronger diplomatic collaboration within the Mano River Union and the wider ECOWAS community.
